🛠️ What I Do
- I’m currently a Senior Network Engineer at RIEDEL Communications, specialising in high-performance networks that span the Formula One paddock. I design, deploy, and maintain resilient comms infrastructure that keeps races running smooth and safe. My work takes me worldwide, ensuring our systems run perfectly in 20+ different countries spanning the globe.
- I’ve previously worked for other F1 Teams in the paddock. Maintaining IT Infrastructure to ensure that the team was able to extract every last millisecond out of the car.
- Before I joined the world of F1, I worked as an IT Infrastructure Analyst in one of Belfast’s leading law firms.
🎓 My Education
- My strong technical background was aided by achieving a BSc in Computer Science, Queen’s University Belfast, where my fascination for data, systems, and network architecture began.
- I love tackling unconventional problems, applying creative solutions under pressure in environments where failure simply isn’t an option.
Through this site, I’ll be writing about my findings in IT, documenting tid-bits that I find interesting both as I travel and as I roll out cutting edge systems. I have a love for my homelab – making sure that I expand my knowledge whilst exploring great Open Source software thats on offer.
